Hallucinogen is the stage name of Simon Posford (born 1971), an electronic musician specializing in Goa trance music from England. His early work was as an engineer on the T.I.P. (Raja Ram) and Dragonfly (Youth) labels. His first album, Twisted, was one of the most widely influential electronic music recordings of its time and helped to define the psychedelic trance genre. The follow-up album, The Lone Deranger, only cemented his influence.

From then on, Posford ventured into numerous collaborations with other artists. His most notable projects involve artists such as Raja Ram (Shpongle), Martin Glover (Celtic Cross), Marc Brownstein from The Disco Biscuits, and Prometheus a.k.a. Benji Vaughan (Younger Brother). The vocalists he uses most often in his music are Michele Adamson and Abigail Gorton. He has worked outside the genre of Psytrance with the album A Valid Path by Alan Parsons.

Shpongle (pronounced /ˈʃpɒŋɡəl/) is a psychedelic downtempo or Psybient music project. The core members are Simon Posford (aka Hallucinogen) and Raja Ram (one third of The Infinity Project), but they often collaborate with other artists. Their sound has sampled easternethnic instruments and western contemporary synthesizer-based psychedelic music. Posford is responsible for the synth and studio work while Raja Ram contributes with flute arrangements.

The name "Shpongle" is not a dictionary recognized word; it is derived from a rumor when Raja Ram was asked at a party to see how he was feeling. He replied "I feel...Shpongled.".

Shpongle's first track, Vapour Rumours, was released on TIP Records' Infinite Excursions compilation in 1996.   Their debut album, Are You Shpongled?, was released 1998 on Twisted Records. Are You Shpongled? and Twisted Records' first downtempo compilation, ...and the Day Turned to Night, were influential in the then-small psychedelic downtempo genre.

DIGITAL MYSTERY TOUR is a collective of composers living all over the planet. It all started in the year 2000 in Tokyo when Stephane Holweck asked Michio Baba to write music with him and made a track together.

Back in Europe Guillaume Thévenin, Florian Sériot, and Loic Vanpoucke joined the projet. Getting every body together in the studio proved difficult so they started to meet and write through the web using their computers running the same software

The first album "Digital Mtstery Tour" was released by Twisted Records It's a journey into ambience with the subtle flavor of previous releases by both Stephane’s band TOTAL ECLIPSE and Michio Baba as an innovative artist & producer from Tokyo, the music lilts from side to side teasing the listener with ambient electronic atmospherics before jumping into a profusion of funky electro beats and rhymes that will keep all heads nodding whether at home or out on the town. The latest album "DMT Express" was release on Iboga Records new sublabel for chillout music, Sofa Beatsin september2005.

It' s an open door to dream land, with a good dose of romanticism and emotions. It is a bit like traveling from outerspace to the jungle The production of the album is this time far more analogique guitares, flutes, vocal, percusions...

It all started in the early seventies when a young boy saw television for the first time. Instantaneously fascinated by different soundtracks and jingles, a deep interest for music was born. After a short bedroom dj career, Tomasz decided to produce his own music and thanks to a natural talent, he released his first single in 1996 on Pablo Gargano’s label, EVE records. It sold very well and gave him both zest and confidence to strive for more. His influences from electronic and ambient-rock music like JM Jarre and Pink Floyd quickly formed a style that was to make him one of the most successful producers in hypnotic and atmospheric trance. Under this trademark, Atmos had released 3 albums, loads of singles and has countless appearances on compilations but more important - his music has been embraced, played and loved by such a broad spectra of people, ranging from the top 10 djs to aspiring bedroom djs all over the world. Tomasz has also been touring all parts of the world, to every possible kind of event, for well over 12 years now and with great success. His sense for merging rhythm programming with delicate strings into a well-produced groovy sound is guaranteed to make everyone get down to the dance floor and that has made him an installment to count on in events all over the place. The winter of 2008 will see the new Atmos album "TOUR de TRANCE coming out on Spiral Trax so keep ears and eyes open for another milestone in trance music.

His interest in electronic music was awakend during the early 90's. Later in 1993 Thomas aka Mapusa Mapusa visited the first psy-parties and was
completely fascinated by the music. During 1995 he began buying vinyls and building a collection. Starting off with a pair of turntable imitations he
was able to mix music. In early 1996 Thomas travelled to Goa / India, to still the growing curiosity he had for this country, its people and of course
the music. Immediately following the return to Europe he went to Ibiza for a few months. There and before in India he played initial dj sets and got completely thrilled. Returning to Germany, Occiasional booking convinced him to continue his new passion. Many thanks in this place to Ernst and Andrea, who layed the foundations. After meeting Fabio they began spinning as a team. 1999 and 2000 they had the huge honour of playing
at the Voov Experience festival, as well for U-Site, Free Form etc. The interest n their dj sets grew well beyond Germany. Gigs in South Africa,
Japan and Europe followed. Later Fabio and Mapusa decided to go their own paths, because interests began to change. Then he met Daniel
(Shiva Chandra) and they began producing regularly together. Quite fast they produced the first track together. ''Schaukelstuhl' became a big
succes and really surprised them both. So the decicion to found the Auricular project was made, and a year later the first album 'Audion'
was released.. Request from around the world increased. With  appearances on all continents he began travelling. Never pausing
performing as a dj, the task remains very enjoyable, with memorable sets in Cape Town, New York, Japan, Mexico and of course Europe.
After a while he started a new project Human Traffic with Stephan Wötanowski. The debut album is going to released in April 2007 on Blue
Tunes Records. Today he is 43 years old and can say that he's having as much fun as ever travelling the world and pleasing people with music
and never would want to miss it!

AURICUlAR - the project Shiva Chandra´s Daniel Vernunft and Thomas Johanshon aka DJ Mapusa Mapusa.

Directly their first production ´Schaukelstuhl´ was a big hit in the psytrance scene and caused a major success. Since then, they made aware of themselves with their debut album AUDION, presenting a new genre defining style of minimal progressive trance.

I have been spinning in the San Francisco area psytrance scene as a member of the Phoenix Family since 2000. Now also representing Celestial  Dragon Records  and Amboworld  , I play a variety of styles under the broad category of chill-out including ambient, ethno, and dub as well as psychedelic trance. Prior to moving to the area I volunteered as a radio DJ for seven years. I grew-up in a musical household and had classical music training starting in childhood.

Anya is a Russian dj, core member, promoter, and deco artist for the successful Boston-based Psyforia monthly run by Sonic Beating. She enjoys djing many different styles of electronic music including full-on and dark psytrance, minimal techno, IDM, and progressive. Because she started listening to electronic music over 14 years ago, her taste is wide and varied, and her passion is to just see everyone dance. Anya has been involved with Sonic Beating for two years and more recently, has taken up involvement in other projects such as FractalTribe. She has played various events in the New England area, been a featured guest on the 10-year running WZBC radio station   show “Green” with Jeff Mission, and is playing at Transahara 2009 in Morocco this April

Unwashed Tomato is a collaborative psytrance production initiative started by Andy Aylward and David Mostoller in late 2006.  Our main focus is creating an intensely psychedelic, groovy experience which is at once quirky and powerful, containing motifs from many musical traditions.  Close attention is given to producing a complex yet cohesive sound while maintaining a clean and dynamic mix.

Since the summer of 2008, the project has expanded to include frequent appearances by Rod O'Connor, whose unique sensibilities have contributed new elements to the project.

Founder of the legendary PsyTribe productions in Los Angeles, started in 1997. In its 12 years of existence, Psytribe has paved the way for many producers, promoters and DJs which have flourished out of the L.A.scene. Psytibe has, and continues to set the standards and capture the essence of a true psychedellic trance party. With over 15 years of experience, Barakuda has gained the versatility to bring energy to the dance floor and keep it through out the entire set, no matter what type of music or time of day. Barakuda has earned the respect of the trance community worldwide by pioneering a movement on the west coast.

Born in July 18th 1976 in Beverly Hills, California. Raised in L.A until the age of 14 then moved to Athens, Greecewith his family. finished high school and went on to get a computer graphic animation degree at Akto University in Greece. In 1992 discovered the outdoor psychedelic trance experience and since then fell in love with the music and culture. In 1995 started to D.J. In 1997 he was drafted into the Greek Army so then he decided make love not war and fled to L.A. Once in L.A. the trance scene was no place to be found. There came the idea of PsyTribe since then he has organized hundreds of psy events introduce hundreds psy artist to the West Coast and has shared the stage with countless others.

DJ Dedos (aka Steve-O) is probably one of New York City’s most respected Psytrance DJs. His DJ career took off in 1995 after playing a Nantucket Islandsunrise set alongside Medicine Drum. Returning to his Medicine Drum roots, He teamed up with Alan, Andy and the Gaian Mind crew, to help produce the first US Earth Dance in 1998. For nearly a decade, he was involved in decorating and DJing the most prolific parties in New York City at “Vinyl” and with Synthetic Sadhus at incredible venues like the Amazura Ballroom.
At the same time, the US trance scene was very turbulent with a lot of DJ’s searching for inspiration in other styles of music, like house, techno and drum & bass, while Dedos found him self progressing towards the morning and a more groovy, funky, yet full on style.
Lately Steve-O has been a frequent guest at the biggest trance festivals in theUS, as well as clubs all over the world. His style has made him one of the most respected and cutting edge DJ’s in the scene. Today the progressive trance sounds he found early on, are everywhere.

It all began back in the late 90's,
Rafael was 16, and just starting to enjoy the night life of clubs,
big rave parties, and the Brazilian electronic music scene. Back then, techno,
house and all the different elements were growing really fast. He became
interested in learning some mixing techniques, so at the end of 1999 decided to take DJing classes.
One year later Rafael was playing in the night clubs of Sao Paulo.
He discovered Psytrance 9 years ago, and he had been making way into it since then.
Rafael played in several open air, private, rave parties and in 2004 joined
the crew of Tranced Festival and Goa Parties of Sao Paulo. He has a very versatile style,
eclectic maybe (taking where he is from!) that goes from soft to hard, with lots of groove, beat, ethnic sounds.
The last few months he spent intensely studying Music Theory and Music Production at Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Through these efforts he has greatly improved his mixing techniques, sound quality and style.
Rafael believes that every sound around us can and should be inspiring, put into harmony and transcend into music.

Knowledge is one of the original foundation layers for the underground dance circuit in the mid-90’s for New England. His evolving sound has taken audiences of 5 to 5000+ and turned rooms inside out worldwide. Always taking the time to hand select the most cutting edge production in the tracks he plays, his signature sound of genre-bending, layered, journey sets have transformed many minds and moved countless bodies over his 13 year career..

Psy-Fi was born in Alexandria Egyptand has been vibrating dance floors in the U.S and abroad for over seven years. His unique style consisting of dynamic blends and original sound have kept trance lovers begging for more. Melodic vocals, pounding base lines, and intelligent beats are just some of the ways DJ Psy-Fi will absorb your energy. Over the years he has played along side the great artists such as Astor Projection, Infected Mushroom, Yahel, Fatali, and many others.            

Since his NY debut 5 short years ago, Brandon has quickly earned a reputation as one of America's few homegrown international-caliber DJs.  Through a combination of musical intelligence, persistent resourcefulness, open ears and an open mind, he consistently provides a stimulating dancefloor experience that fits the moment and transcends sub genre preference.  With out relying on a pre-determined set list, his sets place an emphasis on thick sound texture, infectious groove, spacious atmospheres, and heady compositions with cohesive multi-dimensional construction that offer several patterns for the listener to lock in and out of.  This approach has allowed him the versatility to play alongside some of the world's top producers, ranging from Simon Posford, GMS, and Infected Mushroom to Mubali, Alien Mental, and Horror Place.  Dancefloors have responded positively whether it's been the east coast, west coast, Europe or even India.  Brandon looks forward to contributing to yet another memorable weekend at Echo Lake. 

Niki is a co-founder and owner of Tokyobased  psychedelic trance label Mighty Quinn Records. He has released two well recognized and respected compilations as well as most recent release The Invisible Hnad”. The new release “Non Fiction” is planned to be released soon. Dj Niki has been Djing since 2004 and had played at numerous psychedelic partys. Sharing the decks with artists such as Penta, Osom, Jahbo, Kindzadza, Parus, Polyphonia, Dejan and Jellyheadz Mussy Moody, Candy Power, Metallaxis, Savage Scream and many, many more, Dj Niki has acquired a full length and power collection of music and presents a complete psychedelic story to the dancer on the floor. His sets are described to be perfect for any time of the party and are usually smooth, rhythmic, and mysterious and create a perfect atmosphere for body and mind. Trancers and dancers are usually are put in a happy, easy going, relaxed state of mind. Feel free to come and share this experience.

BABLA has been dj’ing since 1989 (the old audio cassette days!!) but it was only in 1998 that he realized his love for psychedelic trance music.

It was at a party where he saw everybody dancing to one rhythm…. Dancing for themselves…..

In the past 5 years Babla has spun in Germany, New York, Goa and Bombay. Amongst other large acts Babla has had the opportunity to

play alongside great artists like Infected Mushroom, Astrix, Fatali, Analog Pussy, Paul Taylor, Skazi, Visual Paradox, Atomic Pulse, Polaris, Mekkanikka, CPU and Penta……

His style is mainly morning ranging from full-on blasters to melodic waves…………… Just recently, has he suddenly developed a taste for more twisted stuff. Back to play on the decks again after a very long break of 8 months….. At this year’s festival Babla is going to take you back to the good old GOA days…..
